Dr. Goodell, a 3rd generation Californian, has over 40 years of IPM experience including private consulting, research, extension, and education. His focus has been in the San Joaquin Valley of California on field, row and vegetable crops, primarily working with arthropod and nematode pest management. Focused on improving IPM decision support, he has explored pest interactions from the individual pest/plant, to the field, at the farm, to the greater landscape and most recently, at policy levels. He annually participates in 20-25 educational and training programs for pest control advisors and farmers. He has over 340 publications to his credit. He served with UC Statewide IPM Program for his entire career in various capacities including IPM Advisor, Extension Coordinator, Interim Director and Associate Director for IPM in Ag.
